Barry Smith provided an excellent service when building our house. Despite it being a very difficult site with limited access, involving major initial excavation and a full site length retaining wall, Barry was willing to take the project on.

Being a family business, it was fantastic being in direct contact with Barry, his wife and son all the way through the build. The project management was exceptional. I was always fully informed of where the project was up to. The external contractors who Barry utilised (excavation, etc) were very careful and experienced.

In terms of costing, Barry was very budget conscious, realistic and discussed different options, or made recommendations where appropriate. Taking into consideration the various changes that were made along the way (council requirements for extra retaining, paving, etc), we were extremely happy with the final invoice and the actual build was well within the parameters of the initial quote.

I would not hesitate to recommend BR Smith builders to anyone wanting to build or renovate. they are very thorough, reliable and hard working. I felt fully supported and well looked after throughout the whole project and a lot of stress was reduced due to direct communication, their obvious capability and experience.

You did such a good job, replacing soffits and constructing a deck back in 2012 that I wanted to get you to do any repairs we might need to get done to the house. I know that you are very busy at the moment, but if you are able to meet with me one evening after work, this would be appreciated.
