Second time around a compliment to builder

It’s a compliment to the builder when he’s asked to go back and add a second storey to a family home he originally built eight years ago.

This family had outgrown the original dwelling, so an entire second storey was added, comprising three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The trick was to make the additions reflect the original house and not look like they had been added at a later date. Accordingly, the renovations were designed and built to replicate the original.

Added materials were kept the same as the original. Internally, a staircase was added to give access upstairs. The home has now been increased in size by a third.
